New Women Zine Fest

  • New Women Space 188 Woodpoint Road Brooklyn, NY, 11211 United States (map)

We teamed up with New Women Space (a brand new place where women can collectively gather and shape the future together in Brooklyn) for our first New Women Print & Zine Fest on Saturday, November 12th from 12-6pm.

Brooklyn came out to meet the creators and browse an exciting, emerging line-up of women/trans/gender non-conforming-led zines featuring:

Got a Girl Crush - a blog and annual print magazine about women, by women, for everyone
The Bettys - Female-identified LGBT art collective from NYC tri-state area
Boys I’ve Kissed & Hated - a collection of poems about the adventures of a young woman fumbling through intimate experiences from her teens through her early twenties and explores the awkwardness and dissatisfaction with most of the young woman’s encounters through a comedic lens
La Motocyclette - a bi-annual independent magazine featuring stories and images from motorcyclists from all around the world
Math Magazine - an independent porn quarterly for open-minded adults
Metaphorical Fruit - quarterly zine that seeks to disrupt western art’s infatuation with the male gaze by publishing art by women about women
NO SHAME Distro - POC collective based in Philly & NJ who are interested in promoting zine writers and artists of color
Selfish - a team of women who want to share other women’s stories in an incredible way
