Got a Girl Crush On: SJP and Helen Hunt (and a very young Shannon Doherty) in Girls Just Want To Have Fun (1985)
I was dismayed to discover that SPICE WORLD was not available on Netflix Instant, but guess what was? This. So I watched it on a whim last night. SJP is surprisingly good, and cute, and Helen Hunt’s character is great (grasshopper hat; that’s really all you need to know). And the main guy character (SJP’s dance partner/boyfriend) = HOT.

Got A Girl Crush On: Bananarama’s Cruel Summer
In tribute to the heat wave we’ve been having out here on the East Coast (&rea is the lucky one in San Fran of this blogging duo), this vid is pretty fitting (espesh with all the vintage NYC shots). Not sure if I could even think of rocking overalls in 102 degree heat—nighttime rooftop dance party, though, maybe.
