First off, I just want to congratulate Meg and Amanda on successfully raising enough money on Kickstarter so that can make make their next issue of Got A Girl Crush. I am so proud of you ladies and love what you do. Cannot wait to see what’s in store!
Every month I pick a tarot deck out of my collection and pick 12 cards from that correlate to each sign of the zodiac. This is #crushascope for August 2017.
Overall, we will be dealing with a full lunar eclipse in Aquarius on August 7. Mercury Retrograde on August 12th through September 5th will affect Gemini and Virgo most. and finally a solar eclipse and new moon both in Leo on August 21. A lot of information to take in but this is all useful as retrogrades are a great time to finish projects and eclipses tend to reveal or bring things to light. This will prove to be the most exciting month of 2017 yet!
LEO - XXI THE WORLD
This is your birthday month! You finally get to see some hard work pay off. Planetary disruptions aside, you will lay low and watch things unravel in your favor. This will be attained in silence and meditation. Do not fuss over things as they can backfire in your face. Opportunities will present themselves but the ones that stick will be known after the 26th when Mercury Retrograde is over and the sun has entered in Virgo.
VIRGO - SIX OF SWORDS
Your ruling planet goes retrograde on the 12th. However, all is not lost. The six of swords promises a vacation or quick getaway from tasks at hand. This will allow for stress to relieved but do not think things will be resolved because they are out of sight out of mind. You are just getting a break so you can revisit your issues better with a clearer and calmer mind. Expect short lived romances or hanging out with an unexpected friend as well to get a fresh perspective on things.
LIBRA - PRINCE OF PENTACLES
You will be curious to try pragmatic and new approaches to solving issues and saving time on the day to day. Help will arrive with an eager person who will want to learn from you. Make sure you make clear boundaries with people this month as some may take your actions as a romantic advance. Opportunities for making extra money occur at the tail end of the month when you are able to combine a few ideas to a current problem.
SCORPIO - XVIII THE MOON
You are extra moody and elusive this month. If you are hiding something, it may very well come to light during retrograde / eclipse. It seems that the solar eclipse and Mercury retrograde will help you close the book on an unwanted chapter of your life. Take everything with a grain of salt and practice present moment awareness. Things will pacify after the 26th but expect high drama around the 21st when something you were not expecting comes to light.
SAGITTARIUS - PAGE OF CUPS
You may reunite with an old flame or start up an old hobby you left behind. You crave comfort in the form of nostalgia. Perhaps it is because you may be fishing the waters of your past for compliments. Choose your actions wisely. You may end up hurting the feelings of a loved one by accident. Best you think things through and put that pent up energy into an unfinished project. Don’t let things get too heavy if you see them moving towards the dramatic. Feel free to make more walks than usual too as fresh air will be pleasant and help you ground your energy more.
CAPRICORN - X WHEEL OF FORTUNE
This is a month of resolution. People from your past show up asking for forgiveness or for you to hear their peace. This will be a month where the phrase “I’m sorry, you were right.” will replay over and over again. This is not a chance to be petty. Close the book on toxic relationships but discern between toxicity and being overactive. People from your present will also be more supportive than usual as you may present yourself to be more vulnerable than usual. This will also show and help you with how to treat relationships from your past. Ultimately, this is all about how you allow others to treat you. If the eclipses of August 2017 will show you anything, they will show you how to love yourself most.
AQUARIUS - TEN OF PENTACLES
You are feeling generous but be careful with your finances this month. Beware of scams that tug on your heartstrings and make sure you get things in writing if you are going to be using your time and resources to help someone else. You are a practical sign with a heart of gold. This may also be a good time to invest, save, or get professional counsel on how to maximize your cash flow. Any bit you save up will be symbolic of what it is you are trying to do later on in life. The end of the month brings a burst of creativity and new projects which will have you seeking out for other collaborators.
PISCES - KING OF PENTACLES
You will be working on a new plan this month. Not necessarily starting a project but you will be working on strategies and networking. You want to get from point A to point B in comfort and style. Do your research and make lists of pros and cons. Also be realistic with your timing. On a more tangible aspect, you probably have some spring cleaning you let flow into summer. August will be a great month for a good purge of stuff from your closet. This will also help you energetically as the vibes at home feel a bit stifled. Tidy up and don’t be shy about throwing stuff away. You have new things heading your way.
ARIES - XIV TEMPERENCE
Patience is not your strongest suit but it will be needed this month. You may find yourself in the middle of troubleshooting everything from your laptop, to your car, to how you make your coffee. It will test your limits and those of the people around you. It’s not your fault this month has a lot of energy and it may make you uncomfortable. Once the sun enters Virgo on the 22nd, the energy calms down and you will be able to turn bad situations into really good ones.
TAURUS - NINE OF WANDS
You are having trouble with revealing how you really feel towards others or certain situations but are possibly too afraid to speak up. You get the extra boost with a side of courage during Mercury Rx. This retrograde will reveal what you want out of your inner circle and you will finally voice what you have been dying to say for ages now. Complaints aside, you will find diplomatic ways to settle your differences and move on. This will set the stage for what you are creating in order to live your best life possible.
GEMINI - KING OF SWORDS
A focus on physical health is key for you this month. You will find grounding in working out and eating right. Do not try anything over the top and make sure to stretch more than usual to avoid an accident. Your focus on health may turn others who do not quite understand this newly found change of heart. It may cause some arguments but nothing too serious. Nailing your diet and workout routines will be the focus of your month. You may also need more sleep than usual as you may be burning the candle at both ends. The rest of the summer will be productive and busy so make sure to get plenty of rest.
CANCER - QUEEN OF CUPS
You will be an example of mastering your emotions this month. You will have a heightened empathic sense if you are Cancer or Cancer rising. This sense will help you understand what others are feeling which will give you a better grasp on how to troubleshoot situations.
