This photo set by Nina Leen of pants-clad college girls in 1945 is an absolute treat to flip through. I love the way these girls are standing–especially when you take into consideration that this was right around the time menswear inspired fashion became acceptable for women. How liberating it must’ve felt to un-fussily put on a pair of slacks and walk out the door.

Modern day college girls, please take heed.
